Quality Control Inspector II

SUMMARY: The Quality Control Inspector checks the quality of incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials or products as well as the ensure proper production procedures are followed. In addition, to mechanical inspection, this position involves tasks such as running tests, keeping a record of defects, analyzing products, and overseeing procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Verify all traveler sign-offs have been completed
  • Verify all SPC sheets have been completed and signed off
  • Inspection reports
  • Verify calibration of all inspection tooling
  • Generate Non-Conformance reports for all discrepant material
  • Identify potential issues/problems and recommend corrective action measures, as applicable
  • Complete all paperwork and documentation required with work order
  • Meet customer requirements by following work instructions including work orders and specification sheets
  • Independently operate equipment in an efficient and safe manner while meeting required quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Uphold the company core values
  • Inspect parts to print (technical drawings)
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Familiar with inspection tooling, height gages, calipers, and micrometers
  • Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Must be capable of reading technical drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions, in English.

REASONING ABILITY Prioritize activities and work under pressure.

  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
