Director of Accounting - US The US Director of Accounting will lead the accounting function for the Cadogan Tate US operations ($100m+ revenue), ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and supporting ad hoc reporting as required by Group Finance. This role will contribute to professionalizing the finance function, manage the US component audit, support US tax matters, and play a key role in the monthly and quarterly close process. The ideal candidate can manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting activities for the US division, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and internal policies. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes in the US, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to Group Finance. Support external audit processes, including preparation of schedules and coordination with auditors. Lead on US local and state tax filings and liaise with external advisors. Establish and implement development plans for all team members and monitor the performance of the team members against established goals. Lead initiatives to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency across the US. Act as a key stakeholder in the ongoing development and optimization of the NetSuite ERP. Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure alignment with group-wide accounting standards. Build strong cross-functional relationships across finance and operations across the US. Support with delivering ad hoc analysis to the Group Financial Controller. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA qualification preferred. 8+ years of accounting experience, with some experience within a multi-site environment, preferred. Strong understanding of IFRS/ UK GAAP and US tax principles. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Experience within logistics, service, and/or PE backed businesses is a plus. Excellent and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Public Accounting experience preferred. 5+ years managing a team preferred.
