Position Summary The Regional Director of Business Development is responsible for leading initiatives aimed at increasing both new store sales (new financial advisors recruited onto the platform) and same store sales (increasing services received by existing financial advisors) by identifying and engaging premium segment financial advisors and teams. This pivotal role involves attracting top‑tier advisors from leading global banks, wire houses, RIAs, etc., thereby contributing significantly to the expansion of our firm’s presence in this specialized market segment. Leveraging experience in sales, business development, and financial industry expertise, the Regional Director will craft and execute effective organizational growth strategies leading to a more robust portfolio of clients and services rendered. Key Responsibilities Cultivate and lead a customer‑centric approach, ensuring an exceptional advisor experience remains paramount. Design and implement robust business development strategies to drive new business growth and maximize revenue and sales targets. Evaluate and cultivate new business pipelines to ensure sustained growth. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to orchestrate impactful awareness campaigns and drive substantive business growth. Serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging in‑depth industry knowledge to guide prospective and existing clients on our unique capabilities through comprehensive consultation and analysis. Foster strong partnerships and synergies across internal departments, driving innovative solutions to enhance the advisor experience while ensuring accountability to established milestones and outcomes. Demonstrate agility in responding to customer, partner, and prospect feedback, iterating programs swiftly with an entrepreneurial mindset. Cultivate relationships with industry service providers to explore potential partnership opportunities. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Conduct thorough competitive assessments, identifying avenues for competitive advantage and informing strategic decision‑making. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging developments, and key players to inform the company’s strategic direction and approach to innovation. Utilize data‑driven insights to monitor program performance, identify trends, and align projects with company priorities. Conduct market evaluations and leverage established networks to expand the reach of our offerings. Identify growth opportunities and untapped resources, communicating effectively with the executive leadership team. Engage with existing clients to understand their needs, evaluate opportunities, and drive same‑store sales growth. Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports, ensuring alignment with client‑facing objectives. Liaise closely with the Marketing/Communications department to ensure effective branding in the marketplace. Forecast business development needs to ensure present and future organizational success. Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure alignment and support from you and/or your respective team. Travel as needed to visit and consult with Financial Advisors in their offices around the country. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of related experience (business development, wholesaler, financial advisor) required. A track record of managing high‑performing teams, ideally within the independent wealth management industry, is preferred. Strong familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is preferred. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or another business‑related field (or equivalent experience, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree) required. Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and/or Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) preferred. Series 65, 66, 7, and 63 are all preferred. Working Conditions Physical Demands Requires vision, speech, and hearing, and a low level of physical activity to include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying as required.
