OverviewHematologist – Rochester Regional Health (RRH)RRH’s purpose is to uplift humanity through community care. At our flagship Rochester General Hospital, we are seeking a dedicated Hematologist to lead primary Classical (Benign) Hematology while supporting Malignant Hematology care.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, manage, and treat a full spectrum of hematologic disorders including leukemia, lymphoma, anemia, hemoglobinopathies, hemophilia, and thrombophilia.Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and transfusions when clinically indicated.Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—Oncology, Pathology, Radiology—to ensure seamless coordination.Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term management.Engage in system-wide initiatives to improve quality, access, and program reach.Qualifications & ExperienceMD or DO, board or fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology or Hematology alone.Active medical license in New York State.Clinical experience with both outpatient and inpatient hematology.Commitment to teaching, mentorship, and research within a hospital-based environment.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary range: $400,000 – $500,000.Sign‑on bonus of $50,000 for qualified candidates.Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible physician benefits.Full benefits package – health, dental, vision, disability, and malpractice coverage.Defined pension plan with fully funded option and 403(b).Relocation support and dedicated onboarding resources.Life in Rochester, NYRanked among Forbes’ Top 10 U.S. Cities for Quality of Life, Rochester blends affordability, culture, and natural beauty.
