Job Title: Inspector/Monitor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Inspector to monitor and supervise on-site activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general construction practices and be responsible for taking site update pictures, ensuring materials are monitored correctly, and preparing detailed reports using an iPad and portal system. Experience in precast or electrical work is beneficial, though certifications are not required.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and supervise on-site activities.
  • Take pictures for site updates.
  • Ensure materials are monitored correctly and report any issues.
  • Use iPad to access the on site portal for requested inspections and report writing.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports into the system.
  • Manage and complete three work orders daily, ensuring they are submitted before 4 PM.
Essential Skills
  • General inspection knowledge.
  • Understanding of construction practices (drywall, damage assessment).
  • Familiarity with construction environments and processes (2-3 years experience).
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to use an iPad and digital reporting tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-conformance.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment

The position is based on a semiconductor site in East Austin. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The role can have overtime of up to 14 hours a week, when required/earned. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor tasks, and candidates should be prepared for physical activity, and walking throughout a site
