Engineering Design Lead

The Engineering Design Lead will direct, coordinate, and oversee activities in the Engineering Design Department, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient designs and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the company.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant design experience required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria.
  • Thorough understanding of applied math and physics.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
  • Proficient in ERP managed BOM workflows


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and coordinates engineering functions to support the design and manufacture of grinding systems including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
  • Creates concept designs for use in proposals. Contributes in the designing of critical assemblies and parts
  • Maintains model and drawing workflow compliance in CAD file vault
  • Maintains BOM workflow compliance within ERP system
  • Facilitates communication among engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Serves as project design lead for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
