Position Summary: The Nursing House Supervisor provides administrative and clinical leadership, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all units. This role supports hospital operations, coordinates staffing, and serves as the on-site resource for clinical and administrative decision-making. Job-specific Responsibilities: Support and communicate the Mission, Vision, and Values of Nexus Health Systems. Uphold Standards of conduct and compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations. Maintain the privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information, using only that information necessary for the job. Adhere to all policies related to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Collaborate with colleagues and departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Clinical Excellence: Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing staff. Manage patient flow, including bed management, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and participate in clinical rounds. Serve as the primary administrative representative during off-hours. Respond to emergencies and urgent staffing needs. Patient Experience and Advocacy: Promote a culture of compassion, dignity, and respect. Address patient and family concerns promptly. Advocate for patient needs and ensure access to services. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure activities adhere to healthcare regulations and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Monitor compliance, conduct audits, and report incidents. Professional Growth and Continuing Education: Complete annual education requirements and participate in relevant training. Mentor clinical staff and support professional development. Finance: Promote resource stewardship and optimize staffing levels. Support budget planning and monitor resource use. Education and Experience: Associates Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred. Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with 2 years in leadership. Experience in pediatric nursing and behavioral health is preferred. Skills and Certifications: Strong clinical knowledge and supervisory skills. Current RN licensure in Texas. BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required, with de-escalation training within 30 days of hire. Other Details: Seniority level: Mid-Senior level. Employment type: Full-time.
