Job Summary

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting security controls and privacy solutions for Comcast’s TPX CONNECT organization. The Comcast Network and CONNECTivity (CONNECT) organization is an agile, fast-paced, dedicated group at the forefront of change focused on innovating, building, and operating the best in class, most reliable network and network services for our customers. You will collaborate with multiple teams and organizations to understand the technology environment supporting the business and ensure that security and privacy controls are effectively implemented.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Assesses and helps drive implementation of Cybersecurity controls and procedures related to Secure Development Lifecycle, Vulnerability Management and Privacy programs. Uses security skills and knowledge to provide remediation guidance. 

  • Applies system architecture, design and specification within security initiatives. 

  • Possesses the ability to rapidly grasp new technologies and abstractions and apply them in a meaningful way. 

  • Reports on the progress of all technical projects towards the goals and strategies. Communicates feedback and analyses into actionable insight. 

  • Mentors team members. 

  • Creates and tracks KPIs relating to security initiatives. 

  • Works with leadership and team members to help identify and assist in making program tradeoffs to balance scope, time and costs. Ensures proper documentation. 

  • Ensures program milestones are accomplished and ensures overall committed timelines are met. 

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences: 

  • Experience with assessing Cyber risks and impact analysis  

  • Experience with Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, CVEs 

  • Background with researching emerging threats such as Malware, Ransomware, Data exfiltration, DDoS, etc  

  • Background with Threat Modeling or Secure Design Consultation 

  • Background with Cryptography/IAM Experience: PKI, Encryption, SAML, MFA, SSO, Cipher Suites 

  • Background in Red team (Attack Vectors / Surfaces) a plus 

  • Experience with Pen Test Tools a plus (Powershell-Empire, Cobalt Strike, Metasploit, etc) 

  • Experience with Linux, Windows, Cloud and Containers 

  • Background with Network Protocols at all layer, ability to troubleshoot network / connectivity issues 

  • Understands security concepts such as access management, security configurations, firewall, acls, endpoint protection, technology resiliency, etc.  

  • Experience with operations at scale, H/A architecture and strategies 

  • Experience with analyzing large data sets to identify patterns, relationships, anomalies 

  • Cybersecurity certifications a plus 

  • Scripting Experience: Python, SQL, Bash 

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. 

  • Demonstrates critical thinking, solves problems, can adapt to changing business and technical demands. 

  • Demonstrates interest in others, encouraging adaptive development, and promoting a sustainable and inclusive team culture.
