EMI Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Superintendent Assistant to join our team. The HVAC Superintendent Assistant will work closely with the HVAC Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of HVAC projects and ensuring their successful completion. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in HVAC and gain valuable experience in a leadership role. You will have the opportunity to train under the guidance of our experienced HVAC Superintendent and Project Manager, learning from their expertise and expanding your knowledge and skills in the field.

Salary

$80,000 to $85,000 (DOE) plus employer paid health benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the HVAC Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising HVAC projects from start to finish
  • Collaborate with the HVAC Superintendent in preparing project budgets and schedules
  • Coordinate and manage the work of HVAC technicians and subcontractors
  • Ensure that HVAC installations and repairs are in compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet timeline and budget goals
  • Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
  • Assist in troubleshooting HVAC systems and resolving any issues that arise
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of work performed and materials used
  • Provide regular updates to the HVAC Superintendent and project stakeholders on project status
  • Assist in evaluating the performance of HVAC technicians and subcontractors
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Valid driver's license
  • US citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • EPA Universal Certification
