Department Overview:The KTS Driver transports wheelchair bound patients to and/or from medical care facilities.
Responsibilities & Requirements:Job Specific Duties:
- Ensures the basic needs of the patient is met during transport.
- Arrives on time at patient pick-up locations.
- Ensures that patients are left at the appropriate destination.
- Completes patient care and billing reports.
- Ability to properly use wheelchair lift in ambulette vehicle and safely secure all patients.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, as well as sensitive company and employee information.
Operational Duties:
- Performs regular assigned shift duties.
- Maintains cleaning standards of station(s), vehicle(s), and equipment.
- Completes detailed Incident Reports and Accident Reports, in a timely manner, at the request of management.
- Uses appropriate terminology and tone and follows all radio communication procedures.
- Drives company vehicles in accordance with company driving policies.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- First Aid certification, preferred
- CPR certification, preferred
- Valid drivers license, with no more than four (4) points, and approval by company insurance provider
