In this role, you will both self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of transportation projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of our new office.Ideally, our candidate would be a seller-doer who has a strong transportation background. This is a senior-level position in the firm, requiring at least 10 years of growth-oriented experience, with the right combination of professional and leadership skills that we can build an office around, effective at balancing technical project management, business development, and people. Benesch is expanding our Colorado division, and we welcome candidates from diverse areas including but not limited to Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, Durango, and beyond.The Impact You Will HaveImmediate contribution to contracted backlogDeveloping junior staff providing design and construction phase servicesManage scope, schedule, budgets, and resources for multiple projectsContribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiativesAssemble competent project communications, including meeting minutes, technical documents, and reportsAssume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, assuring adequate independent QC reviewsDevelop and oversee task work plans for Engineers, Designers, Inspectors and TechnologistsWhat You Will NeedBS in Civil Engineering or similar degree requiredPE LicenseMinimum 10+ years of relevant experience; CDOT and/or Western Slope local agency experience is a plusAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong understanding and familiarity with project deliveryProgressive experience working directly with clients developing relationships, with proven ability to win workExcellent leadership, communication, business development, project management, and client relation skillsAbility to recruit new talentThe expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
