We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Management, Debit Cards to define and deliver our product strategy and roadmap to drive short-term wins and long-term goals. You’ll own a 0→1 roadmap to drive scale of the Debit Card to tens of millions of Venmo customers. This role establishes a cohesive product vision and strategy across the company, leading product strategy development with cross-functional teams. It balances innovative design with technical implementation while meeting regulatory requirements and customer needs. The focus is on enhancing customer experience, using metrics for product success, and standardizing analytics and market research for data-driven decisions. Essential Responsibilities Establish a shared vision across the company for one or more products, or a platform product enabling development & scalability, with a deliberate and cohesive strategy. Lead product strategy development and develop a clear, executable view of the product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders. Influence the architectural roadmap and balance innovative design and technical implementation while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, customer needs, and product profitability. Champion the customer experience and prioritize customer needs in product requirements and decision making. Define and use metrics that inform product success, including usability studies, research, and market analysis. Standardize workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making. Be responsible for product profitability, including budgetary decisions. Lead operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with senior leadership as needed. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the standard. Qualifications 10+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of experience leading others Additional Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications Develop and deliver on the Venmo Debit product roadmap by following the stages of the product development lifecycle within the Consumer Financial Services business unit. Participate in business planning to inform decision making on key initiatives tied to the goals of the business. Participate in cross-functional capacities to influence the product roadmap and prioritization of activities that deliver on financial targets and metrics. Be accountable for the Venmo Debit Card product team, including career development, team collaboration, performance assessments, and driving employee satisfaction. Act as the end-to-end product leader to stakeholders and peers across Venmo and PayPal, effectively communicating roadmaps, priorities and challenges. Work closely with core stakeholders to deliver on the product roadmap by quarter and year. Stay informed about industry trends, product strategies, and potential opportunities to maintain Venmo’s leadership in the market. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience in creating, grooming and delivering on product roadmaps and strategies (including acquisition, engagement and retention roadmaps), preferably within financial services or fintech. Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and associated artifacts, deliverables, and documented plans. Strategic and creative thinker with strong business judgment and quantitative analytics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders. Strong, effective communication and presentation skills. A passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset. Other notes: PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $188,000 to $323,950.
