Here, your voice and ideas matter, your work makes an impact, and together, you will help us define the future of American Express.How will you make an impact in this role?Advance adoption of Amex debit capabilitiesManage processing partner relationships, integrations, and complianceDevelop thorough documentation and operationally sustainable processes to ensure consistent resultsNegotiate complex contracts with partners and customersCreate and expand relationships with key external debit partnersDevelop technical proficiency and requisite fluency with network capabilities, including connectivity, specifications, and processesCollaborate broadly, sharing roadmap and interoperability considerations, and thought-leadership regarding U.S. debit normsBuild strong positive relationships within Amex, including network, issuing, legal, pricing, policy, technology, and relationship management teamsMaintain deep and current knowledge about the payment services industry, debit and U.S. market trends, new and existing technologies, products, and servicesMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 3 years' experience in the processing and acquiring of U.S. debit cards with processor, debit network, or acquirerSound technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to guide, contribute to, and execute on strategies to deliver outcomes aligned to business goals in matrixed organizationsExperience negotiating complex contracts with partners and/or customersProven ability to build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partnersTrack record of leading through change, challenging the status quo, and leading and producing results with or without authorityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and illustrate complex issues in a simple, non-technical mannerStrong work ethic and organizational skills, with high level of intellectual curiosity, initiative, drive, and attention to detailPotential travel required within U.S. (~10%)Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience requiredPreferred Qualifications:Expansive and active network across payments industrySalary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
