Freight Coordinator

Quad is seeking a Freight Coordinator to work at our Franklin, WI Packaging facility.
Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately monitor production schedule and inventory to ensure all products are available when needed for interplant or outbound shipments.
- Work effectively with co-workers and all other internal/external contacts.
- Communicating variance from plan to the necessary manufacturing and admin departments.
- Attend daily scheduling meetings.
- Set up shipments with Carrier services for jobs shipping via truckload/LTL and our truck.
- Prepare required paperwork and documentation such as Pick lists, Bill of Lading, and conformance documentation as needed.
- Understand and use basic math skills such as adding and subtracting.
- Coordinate with other Quad plants for transfers and pick-ups.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office equipment.
- Previous experience in logistics or freight coordination.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess good follow-up and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and written.
General characteristics of the successful candidate include:
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and being committed to customer service.
- The ability to organize and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Forklift experience a plus or a willingness to be certified.
- Able to work Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm. with overtime as required.
