Edenbrook Lakeside is a long term care and rehabilitation community located in Milwaukee, WI. We embrace and supports the local community and promotes a family and residential centered approach towards its care. Trained Medication Aides, also called TMA’s, are an integral part of a residents return to daily activities by providing support, care, and administering medications.

Position: Trained Medication Aide (TMA)

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) by assisting with any and all needs the residents may have, including but not limited to activities such as: bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility, toileting and eating while not handling medications.
  • Maintain a consistent charting rhythm with all residents in their care, following the medication administration requirements for each individual resident.
  • Reporting to their wing or charge nurse any changes in the resident needs or condition.
  • Follow all facility policies and procedures with regards to the safety and security of themselves, the residents, and any guests.
  • Treats all residents with respect and dignity.
  • Follows the instructions and direction from leadership as well as working in conjunction with other floor staff including nurses and other aides.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate active in the state of Wisconsin .
  • Current Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certificate active in the state of Wisconsin.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
  • Ability to understand and follow TMA work assignments.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with fellow TMA’s and other staff.
