**Job Title:** Radiologic Technologist

**Job Specialty:** Heart & Vascular Institute - Interventional Radiology

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Days; 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x9 Hr

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting preferred

**License:** IEMA Radiography License Illinois

**Certifications:**
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Radiography (R)(ARRT)

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking

**Job Description:**

- Administer contrast material, as directed by a physician, and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Perform duties under the supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
- Assist with inventory and supply management.
- Ensure correct patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
- Compile clinical information related to lab and pathology.
- Instruct new staff as necessary.
- Document accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Communicate correct doses of intra-procedural medications and radiation.
- Perform on-call duties and work variable shifts as needed.
- Handle peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, and embolization procedures.
- Engage in venous thrombectomy work and dialysis procedures (AV fistulas, and tunneled dialysis catheters).
- Access and change tubes such as G-tubes, cholecystostomy, nephrostomy, biliary, and SPC.
- Experience with interventional neurology is preferred but not required.

In this role, you will be providing critical support to patients undergoing invasive cardiology or radiology procedures. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being and safety of patients in the environment of the Heart & Vascular Institute.
