Lee Health Heart Institute is currently seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist with expertise and training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation to join the new Advanced Heart Failure Center at HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. This will be an integrated cardiology and surgical program that provides high-quality, comprehensive care in all spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic heart failure services.Qualified Candidates Should Be:BC/BE by the ABIM in Advanced Heart Failure/TransplantProficient in management of mechanical circulatory support, including de novo implantation of LVAD, Impella and ECMO and post-operative management of heart transplant recipientsMore than 5 years post-fellowship experience is preferred but graduating fellows are welcome to applyEager to work in a growing, high-volume practice and have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively and work with a large multidisciplinary program.Optional: performing heart catheterization's, heart biopsies, CardiomemsJob Description:Full time and permanent positionInpatient consultative and outpatient care responsibilitiesPrimary night call and weekend call coverage 1:5 with minimal general call responsibilityOpportunity for leadership and administrative rolesBenefits:Competitive salaryAt least 6 weeks off and allowance for CMERelocation AssistanceMalpractice provided401K and 457B Retirement PlansPractice Highlights:The practice is a strong, multidisciplinary team which provides comprehensive patient care with excellent outcomes in advanced heart failureWe do not perform heart transplantations; the group collaborates closely with four regional heart transplant referral centersAdvanced surgical treatment options include implantable heart devices, including Impella 5/ECMO
