Description

Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor in the clinic, provides services as Certified Diabetes Educator. Participates in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive network of diabetes educational programs and activities. Assures the use of appropriate educational technology and learning methodology to increase knowledge, skills, and competencies of the person with diabetes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Graduate of accredited Nursing School, RN.
  • upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License.
  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • upon hire: Diabetes Educator certification, or ability to achieve in a defined period.
  • 2 years Patient Care Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) or Nutrition.
  • Case Management Experience

About the Team

Providence Clinical Network (PCN) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
