Opportunity for a Pediatric Endocrinologist

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics has an immediate opening for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a clinical team consisting of 10 physicians, 4 advanced practice clinicians, and 3-5 pediatric endocrine fellows.

The selected candidate will provide medical management to children with diabetes and other endocrine-related diagnoses on both an inpatient and outpatient basis and participate in the education of pediatric and internal medicine fellows and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical management to children with diabetes and other endocrine-related diagnoses
  • Participate in the education of pediatric and internal medicine fellows and residents
  • Join a clinical team consisting of 10 physicians, 4 advanced practice clinicians, and 3-5 pediatric endocrine fellows
About the Division

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is a collegial and growing division that provides specialty care for children with pediatric endocrine conditions including metabolic disorders, bone density/DXA scans, Turner syndrome, Prader Willi syndrome, disorders of sexual development, gender management and support, accredited CF center for diabetes related cystic fibrosis, an Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes program, and an ADA recognized diabetes clinic and education program.

Outpatient clinical activities are based in Primary Childrens Hospital Miller Campus in Lehi, UT; Eccles Primary Childrens Outpatient Services in Salt Lake City, UT; and regular outreach clinics held in St George, Logan, and Layton, UT.

Inpatient clinical activities are carried out at Primary Childrens Hospital Miller Campus, Primary Childrens Hospital Main Campus, and the University of Utah Hospital.

The Division also provides regular call coverage for the Alaska Native Medical Center.

Requirements
  • Board Qualified/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Endocrine Medicine
  • Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience
