**Description:**
The CT Technologist is responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing exams according to department procedures. This role requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in utilizing equipment for disease diagnosis and/or treatment. The position includes setting up equipment and positioning patients for procedures. Responsibilities include:

- Verifying clinician orders and obtaining clinical history
- Administering contrast media following established procedures
- Ensuring proper patient identification and marking images appropriately
- Reviewing images for clinical acceptability and releasing patients
- Responding to emergencies and maintaining life support equipment
- Observing patient condition, ensuring procedures are conducted safely
- Ensuring patient privacy and comfort
- Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and techniques based on patient age
- Preparing patients for procedures and maintaining sterile technique
- Reporting equipment malfunctions
- Cleaning and disinfecting equipment according to infection control policy
- Explaining procedure purposes and addressing patient concerns
- Participating in employee orientation and training
- Producing quality images as evidenced by radiologist feedback
- Maintaining department cleanliness and restocking supplies
- Transporting and positioning patients

The role also involves knowledge sharing, taking call when necessary, and performing other assigned duties while adhering to all company policies and standards of conduct.
