What you will do:

You will coordinate the processing of multiple payroll reconciliations and audits. In accordance with company policies, procedures, and sound business practices, manage the day-to-day tactical post payroll activities and supervise a team of three payroll ops specialists


How you will do it:

  • Accomplishes post payroll objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and counseling employees

  • Ensures that tasks are completed by team members timely and accurately, validates check lists, controls and audits are being performed

  • Meets payroll post operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system/process improvements

  • Review system audit reports and identifies and resolves discrepancies, oversees the post payroll operations reconciliations that are being performed and works to close out reconciling items

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies

  • Accomplishes organization/ NA payroll goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment

  • Overall management of off-cycle and on-cycle payroll runs

  • Complete other duties as assigned

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5 years relevant experience

  • Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes related to payroll (U.S. Canada, Puerto Rico)

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to analyze, solve problems and improve processes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task successfully

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel

  • High attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

  • CPP or FCP certification

  • Experience managing a payroll team

This is a hybrid position and will require working on site 3 days per week at our Glendale, WI office.
