**Job Title:** Registered Radiologic Technologist

**Job Specialty:** Heart & Vascular Institute - Vascular Interventional Radiology

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** Days; 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x9 Hour Shifts

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week

**Experience:** Previous Radiologic Technology experience in a procedural setting preferred

**License:** IEMA Radiography License

**Certifications:**
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Radiography (R)(ARRT)

**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
- English language proficiency (Read, Write, Speak)

**Job Description:**

- Administer contrast material as per physician's request and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Perform duties under direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
- Assist with inventory and supply management.
- Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
- Compile pertinent clinical information related to lab, pathology, etc.
- Assist in the instruction of new staff as necessary.
- Document procedures accurately and completely.
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
- Inform procedural nurses of intra-procedure medication doses, radiation, and sponge/sharp counts.
- Perform on-call duties and variable shifts as required to meet department needs.
- Administer and withhold contrast and treatments appropriately.
- Assess patients for allergies.
- Perform peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization, and thrombectomy work.
- Engage in dialysis work, including AV fistulas, tunneled dialysis catheters, and peritoneal dialysis catheters.
- Conduct tube access and changes for G-tube, chole, neph, biliary, abscess, SPC.
- Experience with interventional neurology, cerebral arterial/venous, and kyphoplasty is preferred.
