Shift: Night - 9x4 - 5 PM to 2 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36.00
Experience: Interventional Neurology experience is preferred.
License: IEMA Radiography License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Radiography (R)(ARRT)

Must-Have:
- Capacity to learn and retain information regarding patient care and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accurately.
- Compassion and caring in dealing with patients.
- Manual dexterity to handle small supplies.

Job Description:
- Administer contrast material according to physician's request and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Assist the physician in all procedures within the Heart & Vascular Institute.
- Work under the direct supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist.
- Manage inventory and supplies.
- Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
- Compile pertinent clinical information such as lab and pathology results.
- Provide training to new staff as necessary.
- Accurately document all procedures and relevant details.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, support, safety, and confidentiality.
- Accurately inform procedural nurses of intra-procedural medication doses and other necessary counts.
- Perform on-call duties and work variable shifts as needed.
- Administer, withhold, and assess patients for contrast and treatment as appropriate.
- Handle peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization work, and venous thrombectomy work.
- Perform dialysis work including AV fistulas and tunneled dialysis catheters.
- Access and change various tubes (G-tube, chole, neph, biliary, abscess, SPC).
- Experience with cerebral arterial/venous procedures and kyphoplasty is ideal.
