Pharmacist Location: White Plains, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmaceutical Services Duration: Ongoing Shift: Every other weekend 8 AM - 4 PM / 4 PM - 12 AM and varied Monday-Friday day shifts 8 AM - 4 PM and evening shifts 4 PM - 12 AM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum experience required License: Current pharmacy registration Certifications: Relevant certifications required Must-Have: Strong leadership and management skills, commitment to customer service, and professional accountability Description: Under the general direction of the Director/Assistant Director/Manager of Pharmacy Services, the Registered Pharmacist provides indirect patient care. The Registered Pharmacist works with nurses, peers, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team in the delivery of pharmaceutical services to patients. The Registered Pharmacist reviews the patient’s medication orders against the patient’s medication profile in accordance with pharmacy philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards. The Registered Pharmacist demonstrates leadership and management skills and a commitment to customer service, professional accountability, and growth. Understands and adheres to performance standards, policies, and behaviors. Utilizes all aspects of the pharmacy process to meet the age-specific needs of the patient in medication education, safety, and patient rights in work practice. Utilizes and monitors methods of infection control, participates in performance improvement and risk management programs, and demonstrates competency by completing all established standards. Utilizes appropriate steps in the decision-making process, including recognition, data collection, priority setting, resource utilization, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Demonstrates punctuality, observes time limits on breaks, and uses periods of low activity for the benefit of the pharmacy and patients. Shows interest and commitment through attendance at in-services, participation in projects, and self-development while maintaining current license requirements. Assumes accountability for the completion of competency standards and accepts constructive criticism to implement corrective measures. Exhibits cooperation and professionalism in response to change, assists peers, and communicates effectively among the healthcare team. Maintains flexibility in staffing and adjustments to assignments. Maintains a positive attitude and responds positively to conflict resolution situations. Practices cost containment measures. Adheres to all policies and procedures, dress code, code of conduct, and meets all mandatory in-services and attendance standards. Provides oversight and direction to pharmacy assistants and pharmacy transporters. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Current pharmacy registration required.
