Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiological Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative in performing standard examinations in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Assist in identifying and resolving departmental, staff, and patient issues through open and honest communication.
  • Support the efforts and actions of the Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures and Imaging teams.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, including Joint Commission compliance, facility inspections, and department-specific activities.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including working rotational shifts, holidays, weekends, and "on call" staffing as needed.
  • Adapt work shifts, which may range from 4 to 12 hours, based on patient procedure demands and hospital census.

  • What Qualifications You Will Need:

    • Must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Technology with an Associates degree or equivalent.
    • RT(R)(VI) (ARRT) is required. If (VI) registry eligible must obtain registry within 18 months of start date or be terminated. May extend by 6 months if required amount of exams are not available and with Directors approval. Must have RT(R) registry for position offer.
    • Minimum one year of Diagnostic Radiology (R) experience is preferred.
    • American Red Cross BLS required.
    • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire and maintain certificat

    TriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
