Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Location: Montvale NJ

Pay Range: $24 - $28 hourly

Contract: 1 Year (extension/conversion to perm possible)

What’s the Job?

  • Oversee all things in the back of the lab - media and reagents prep, glassware, chemical inventory, etc. – supporting lab operations.
  • Perform laboratory tasks using general microbiological laboratory techniques.
  • Maintain laboratory records in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
  • Perform antimicrobial testing/screening, Preservative efficacy Testing and Microbial Quality testing
  • Read and interpret microbiological test results.

What’s Needed?

  • High School diploma with at least 5 years of lab experience -OR- Associates Degree in Science with 1-2 years related experience in a laboratory setting - OR - related Bachelor's Degree (with no work experience needed)
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, strong oral communication skills, strong written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise lab reports
  • GLP/GMP experience a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working in a microbiology or virology lab environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques preferred.
