Staff Accountant

Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days a week in-office).

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports for clients.
* Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and propose corrective actions as necessary.
* Collaborate with senior accountants and partners to support audit engagements and tax planning strategies.
* Utilize accounting software such as Ultra Tax, QuickBooks (desktop and online), Excel, AdvanceFlow, and GoFileRoom to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
* Participate in client meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
* Assist with the preparation of client budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide proactive advisory services.
* Support the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
* Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
* CPA certification or pursuing CPA designation preferred.
* Previous experience in a public accounting firm or similar role highly desirable.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Team player with a proactive and client-centric approach.
* Adaptable to changing priorities and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
