Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management.
  • Maintain relevant HSE logs.
  • Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare applicable HSE reports a necessary.
  • Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management.
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training.
  • Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Education & Experience Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HSE field preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of HSE experience required.
  • Must have working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and industry standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI, etc.) applicable to the manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent oral and presentation skills required.
  • First aid, CPR, and AED trainer preferred, but not required.
  • Good analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Adheres to facility safety policies and facilitates/attends all monthly safety training.
  • Attends all Human Resources directed training via classroom and/or Computer Based Trainings.
  • Attention to detail, problem solving, and capability to work well under deadlines.
  • Communicates and works well with a diverse group of personnel, Supervisors, and Managers.

Technical Competencies:
  • Writes, sends, and receives emails to internal and external customers.
  • Able to present and train multiple personnel in small or large groups.
  • May use company software to include: JDE, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, iComply, and others as they become available.
