Our client specializes in the manufacturing and servicing of a wide range of critical equipment, including transformers, generators, breakers, capacitor banks, and more. As a testament to their remarkable growth, they are seeking High Voltage Field Service Engineers in their four regional service centers in Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Las Vegas, NV, and Portland, OR. (relo provided).

Requirements:

* Technical certificate in an electrical or mechanical related field
* 3-5+ years of High Voltage Substations and equipment (>69kV) , doing field assignments, erection, testing and repair.
* Proven leadership experience coordinating and leading crew on electrical projects installation.
* Experience working with Power Utilities
* Reading of electrical drawings and schematics
* Knowledge of operating test equipment, such as CB timers, power factor, TTR, conductor, CT testers, Megger.
* Familiarity with Windows applications
* B.S degree preferred, not required.

Responsibilities:

* Perform field service operations that present usual or unusual problems requiring solid technical skills.
* Execute or supervise the installation and commissioning of high voltage substation equipment (69kV through 550kV)
* Supervise electricians and contractors.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on High Voltage equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience.
* Perform and document field tests such as electrical tests, SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, contact resistance.
* Compile and evaluate data to determine and resolve operating problems or malfunctions.
* Conduct inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements.
* Develop recommendations and prepare written reports.
* Maintain detailed records and logs.
* Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
