The President's Office at Milligan University invites applications for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant to the President with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. Reporting to the President, this position provides executive level administrative and clerical support to the President and to the various functions of the President's Office.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

* Maintaining the President's meeting and travel schedule.
* Processing correspondence for the President.
* Serving as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors, and handling all in-person, telephone, and email inquiries.
* Serving as staff support to the President's Cabinet and the Board of Trustees, including, but not limited to coordinating meeting arrangements, compiling/distributing meeting packets, recording/transcribing meeting minutes; compiling/distributing reference materials as necessary, and following up on specific issues as requested.
* Compiling and maintaining the Campus Activity Calendar, in conjunction with the Student Life and Public Relations office.
* Serving as the liaison for outside groups/individuals desiring to rent/utilize campus facilities.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the President

Successful candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of experience as an administrative/executive assistant to executive management/leadership. Candidates should also possess: (1) competency and proficiency with computers, (2) excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, (3) excellent organizational skills to implement and coordinate efficient and effective office procedures, and (4) an aptitude with project management. Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Milligan's mission as a Christian liberal arts university.

Primary duties and responsibilities would be performed in an office setting at a computer/desk during normal business hours with some evening and weekend time required to support special events and meetings both on-campus and locally off-campus. Essential physical requirements include the ability to ascend/descend stairs, and the person in this position needs to move about inside the office and throughout campus to access files, attend meetings, use office machinery, etc.
