Key Responsibilities:
The Refrigeration Technician will have responsibility for the operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems, to ensure product quality. This position interfaces with warehouse operations and plant maintenance scheduling to ensure that product temperature are maintained to Tropicana Quality Standards. The Technician will complete preventative maintenance Activities as required during off-shifts and weekends.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Ensuring safe operating conditions for the facilities Refrigeration system
* Providing support and informational updates to internal departments regarding facility utility systems.
* Participating on the Facility Safety Team, Employee safety committee and the Emergency Response Team.
* Inspects equipment, records operational data identifies and corrects all deviations to the refrigeration system and all auxiliary utility sub systems.
* Completes routine safety inspections for fire and evacuation systems
* Completes all related preventive maintenance requests, records deficiencies, and schedules.
* Complete Daily system inventories.
* Perform System safety interlock tests on all refrigeration system equipment, identify and correct deficiencies, and complete detailed service records
* Operates and maintains Compressed air systems.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
* NJ Toxic Refrigeration License Class 2-C but will consider and train an applicant with a strong working knowledge of refrigeration
* Knowledge of Compressed Air
* Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
* Ability to analyses and solve problems on an immediate basis.
* Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
* Ability to perform administrative functions
* Ability to function in a unionized environment
* Ability to supervise contracted services
