Who You'll Work With:

The Client Service Adviser (CSA) resides within AB's Institutional Client Service team. This critical role partners with Sales Advisers, operations, investments, business development, marketing, legal & compliance as well as senior leadership to service and support clients and help develop new business across one of AB's key client segments - North American Institutions (specifically Corporate Pensions and Taft-Hartley Pensions).

This role is based in Nashville, TN.

What You'll Do:

The CSA should expect to be assigned to more complex client relationships on a given base/territory. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day servicing of client accounts. This includes timely and efficient delivery of client reports/materials, fielding and resolving ad-hoc client queries, arranging and preparing for client meetings, routing/overseeing transactional requests etc.
* Leading client matters with internal & external stakeholders through to successful resolution.
* Operating independently (without Adviser/Manager oversight) and serving as the de facto relationship manager for client accounts.
* Assisting with prospecting which may entail arranging meetings, preparing prep memos, conducting research to understand potential opportunities/areas of focus (including use of 3rd party tools such as Preqin, eVestment, Market Lens), tracking and delivering follow-up items post meetings, facilitating RFPs/questionnaires, and managing contact lists for marketing materials/campaigns.
* Establishing their own regular touch points at clients/prospects to ensure strong external relationships that are built on trust and credibility.
* Proactively maintaining a strong working knowledge of AB products, investment processes and operational infrastructure.
* Being proactive to understand and anticipate client requirements/objectives, generating ideas and helping drive solutions to complex client issues as well as opportunities for new business.
* Ability to act as the Adviser's proxy in meetings including client portfolio reviews, operational due diligence visits, prospecting meetings etc.
* Collaborating with Consultant Relations Directors to ensure activity between clients and their consultants are coordinated and effective.
* Overseeing the maintenance of accurate client records in AB's CRM system (Salesforce).
* Working with Sales on client plans, business-at-risk and other client reports/campaigns.
* Communicating client feedback and market trends to senior leadership and being an active contributor to sales and client service strategic goals and planning.
* In time, and subject to performance, CSAs could be allocated their own base of clients/prospects outside of those with Adviser involvement.

What We're Looking For:

* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, and an excellent academic record.
* Track record of outstanding performance and achievement.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry preferably in client service/sales experience.
* A results-orientated self-starter who can quickly understand client needs and focus on commercial delivery.
* Good organizational skills, ability to manage own priorities and meet hard deadlines.
* Ability to network and develop long-term relationships with clients and internal partners.
* Technical knowledge and/or genuine interest in the Institutional market, asset classes and associated competitive landscape.
* A belief that client is first and the ability to influence and lead others to prioritize in that way.
* Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
* Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
* Fluent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Salesforce.com, Preqin, and eVestment a plus.
* Series 7 License, or ability to obtain within 6 months of joining.
