ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform essential duties of a tradeshelper. Perform ordinary labor work when not required to do semi-skilled tasks. Install, remove and / or exchange gas meters as part of maintenance work tasks. Coat and / or wrap pipe and assist as required with welding and other pipeline maintenance. Perform basic plumbing tasks. Prepare tap cards, reports and meter exchange tickets. Assist equipment operator and may occasionally operate motor equipment such as a ditcher, dump truck, mini excavator, crew truck and winch truck. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires High School Diploma or GED with less than one year of related experience. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
