Overview of the role

We are currently seeking a Senior HRBP to join our Global People team at our HQ in Toronto office.

Responsibilities

The Senior HRBP is responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting tasks which will include, but is not limited to, the following:

* Support the CPO and People team in delivering HR services to a global business
* Build and maintain relationship with key Business contacts
* Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
* Build manager capability through coaching and mentoring across the business
* Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on key HR related topics including processes, procedures and system
* Manage employee relations, performance and development in collaboration with people managers
* Assist in operational improvement initiatives and projects
* Execute end to end on HR activities
* Review and update policies and procedures in line with legislation, best practice, and company values
* Effectively and accurately issue HR correspondence
* Updating and maintaining data on HR systems

The Candidate

* Minimum 7-10 years' experience as a HR Generalist to include: business partnering, operational excellence, performance management, reward, talent management, Talent Acquisition, employee engagement, policies and procedure development.
* Degree or Third level qualification in HR or related discipline
* Good knowledge of Canadian and US Employment laws
* Aptitude in problem-solving
* Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
* Experience in Global Organisation, preferably Banking, Fintech Sector or Professional services
* Evidence of working in challenging environment
* Excellent communication abilities and Leadership skills
* Extensive proficient use of O365
* Experience using ERP/HRIS/ATS

Desirable Experience

* Employment Law knowledge in other jurisdictions globally
* Experience in using Oracle Fusion Cloud
* Ability to travel to our New York Office
* Qualification and or experience in L&D
* Qualification and/or experience in Talent Management
* Qualification and/or experience in Acquisition
* Qualification and/or experience in Compensation and Reward
