Position is to learn and assist the Space, Strategic & Missile Defense & Technology Programs team in government affairs with interactions in the executive and legislative branches. The position is to learn policy and program issues related to the portfolio and attend discussions and assist in the team in monitoring hearings, budget discussions, and policy initiatives for the team. The intern will serve in this capacity for a year that typically mirrors the calendar year and congressional budget cycle.
Basic Qualifications:
* Currently pursuing a masters or doctorate degree in defense and strategic studies.
* This position requires access to export controlled information only US Persons (e.g. US Citizen, US permanent resident) may be considered for this position.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
