Position Overview: Schultes Precision is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing various accounting tasks, and supporting financial reporting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a dynamic and growing organization within the Helios Technologies family.

Key Responsibilities:

* General Ledger Maintenance:
* Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely into the general ledger system.
* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.


* Accounts Payable and Receivable:
* Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Prepare and send invoices to customers, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue accounts.


* Financial Reporting:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
* Support the financial reporting process by compiling and analyzing financial data.


* Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Monitor budget variances and provide analysis to management as needed.


* Fixed Assets and Depreciation:
* Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile to the general ledger.
* Calculate and record depreciation expenses accurately.


* Financial Analysis:
* Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.


* Compliance and Internal Controls:
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
* Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as required.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
