Rail Switching Technician

Be the next key member of our Rail Switching Team as the PSC Group is now hiring Spend your days along the rail tracks and work as a team with the engineer on the train to safely move railcars in, out and around the facility. This is a regular full-time position so if you are looking for a stable, long-term career in a booming industry, then consider joining the PSC Group family

Work Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Shift (Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays)

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.50 an hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Examines track list to spot, separate, load and/or build railcars for shipment
* Ensures railcars are properly connected and/or are secured by setting the brake
* Separates loaded railcars that will be shipped from those that have been preloaded
* Weighs all inbound and outbound loads and empties to ensure weights do not exceed
* Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.

Job Qualifications:

* Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
* May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
* 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
* Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
* Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
