St. John's Hospital Camarillo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Surgical Tech** to join our Surgical Services team. The **Surgical Tech** plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures while providing exceptional patient care. **Responsibilities**
+ Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique.
+ Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
+ Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with instrument handoffs.
+ Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of surgical equipment.
+ Collaborate with the perioperative team to maintain a safe and clean surgical environment.
+ Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced surgical techs.
+ Assist in the training and orientation of new staff members.
+ Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and infection control measures.
+ Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as required.

**Qualifications**
+ A minimum of two (2) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist in all surgical specialties.
+ Demonstrates advanced skills appropriate to the role of the Surgical Technologist.
+ Demonstrates proficiency in ability to scrub ophthalmology procedures and total joint procedures OR proficiency in ability to scrub Cardiac procedures.
+ Certification as a Surgical Technologist
+ American Heart Associate CPR required
**This position is represented by SEIU Local UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**
**Pay Range**
$32.45 - $40.55 /hour
