Polysomnographic Technician

The Polysomnographic Technician is responsible for performing comprehensive sleep testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general supervision of a licensed Physician. The Polysomnographic Technician supports the clinical care of patients, and continually seeks opportunities to improve core processes with a patient centered focus.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Minimum Education
□ High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred X Required
Minimum Work Experience
Preferred one year experience working with overnight sleep studies.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required: Polysomnographic Technology Certificate, with an emphasis in sleep technology profession.
