JOB OVERVIEW: Performs general manual labor or grounds maintenance for County Departments needing full-time seasonal help.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs manual labor such as; cutting grass, removing debris and weeds, trimming trees, painting, repairing asphalt roads, shoveling and digging.
* Assists by carrying or holding materials, supplies and tools, flagman, placing concrete, etc.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Requires the ability to carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, and work in adverse weather conditions.
* Must have and maintain a valid Driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
* Requires knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
* Working skill in operating lawn mowers and other grounds upkeep equipment.
* Ability to cooperate with supervisors and co-workers, follow instructions and carry out assignments with minimal supervision.
* Requires stable education and work history.
* Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
* Must be 17 years or older to be eligible for the position.

This is a temporary as-needed position working seasonally.
