Project Lead

Responsibilities:

* Manage and provide leadership on complex projects and is able to proactively identify, communicate and solve problems; set projects goals based on broad objectives assigned by internal management or client.
* Work with internal teams and/or client to recommend methods to accomplish desired results; translate client requirements into operational instructions and question atypical requests; provide time and resource estimates upon request; prepare schedule analysis reports for internal and external use.
* Design, document and implement new processes and procedures applying industry knowledge and experience to cut costs, gain efficiencies, minimize risks and reduce time to market with attention towards automation and continuous improvement; make recommendations for process improvements; track and document all process improvements; audit and ensure functional and quality plans are in place for all projects.
* Meet with project team to discuss project plans, deadlines, issues and new work; set priorities and balance resources across project and ensure back-up and succession plans are in place; use metrics to evaluate the productivity of work group; responsible for resource allocation for existing work and new initiatives; may be responsible for direct supervision of employees assigned to their projects; responsible for the work of assigned staff; meet with assigned personnel to discuss career goals, issues, training needs and other work related matters.
* Work with management team to set standard operating procedures; ensure assigned team is using standard operating procedures and documentation.
* Communicate and coordinate tasks across work groups; Interact and participate in client calls and meetings for assigned projects and new initiatives; set up and lead meetings and discussions; document and communicate issues and achievements for assigned projects; escalate issues requiring senior level attention to appropriate personnel.
* Participate in and oversee the implementation of strategic goals for assigned areas of responsibilities; meet with management on a regular basis to review, update and monitor progress of goals; may be responsible to schedule regular meetings with team members to review, update and manage progress of goals.
* Attends ongoing training to achieve personal, professional, and technical improvement; ensure staff receives appropriate training; work with management to determine the training needs for work group; lead the development and delivery of operational training.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience. A master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline may substitute for one year of experience
* Minimum six years relevant experience, with demonstrated abilities in project planning and project management
* Requires the experience to interact on client and business issues with all levels of staff in different work areas
* Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to translate and present issues; ability to interact with all members in a team or divisional environment
* Ability to work on multiple platforms with various technologies
* Advanced PC software skills and email; working knowledge of relational databases; query skills
* MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills
* Ability to manage resources on their projects identifying needs and working with upper management to look across the division to fill those needs
* Developed project management skills
* Effective time management skills
* Ability to methodically break a problem down, document a plan for resolution and implement solutions with metrics to validate success
* In-depth understanding of business requirements, data and the processes necessary to produce intended results
* Must be a self-starter, flexible and highly detail oriented; must be motivated and driven to succeed within the organization
* Serve as an effective bridge builder between diverse Business Areas within the organization
* Sets a good example, leads and teaches by example
* Ability to effectively work with personnel on all levels
