SSR Management, Inc. - Denver, CO:
Job Title: Director - Health, Safety, & Risk Systems
Job Duties: Develop and implement the safety, health, security and risk management strategic plan aimed at achieving vision of 'Zero Harm' through Safe Production using knowledge of mining health, safety, security and risk management systems and practices for multinational mining company; detailed safety analyses using databases and raw safety and health data sources; O365 (Excel, Word); risk management software platform. Manage key management systems and provide information and recommendations that support the continuous management of risks and their controls. Provide support to members of the Executive Committee (EXCO), and site-based mine managers and other safety, health and risk professionals in the organization. Set the strategy for safety, health and security (SHS) and be accountable for the implementation of the strategic plan. Manage development, implementation and ongoing improvement of safety and health management systems and procedures globally. Set standards for risk assessments and facilitates risk assessments through common risk assessment techniques, e.g., bow tie analysis, HAZOP, LOPA, job safety analysis, field level risk assessment, etc. Manage the corporate health, safety and security audits/assessments program. Develop and facilitate training and educational programs. Develop analysis and reports trends on health, safety, security and risk management data. Provide on-site safety and health management support at mines and projects. Provide incident investigation and root cause analysis oversight and support. Develop various SHS-related reports and ensures appropriate distribution and feedback.
Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety, Mining Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related field + 5 years of experience as Mining Safety Manager. Experience to include at least 5 years of working knowledge of Mining health, safety, security and risk management systems and practices for multinational mining company; detailed safety analyses using databases and raw safety and health data sources; O365 (Excel, Word); & risk management software platform. Position may telecommute up to 100% of work schedule. Travel requirement of up to 70% of work schedule to undetermined domestic & international locations.
