Position Details

Brookstone Estates of Paris is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team

Responsibilities:

* Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team in providing exceptional care experiences.
* Coordinates the Community's infection control program while maintaining state regulatory compliance.
* Develops and oversees the Community's medication management program.
* Contributes toward quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
* Complies with all rules and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy of team members and resident information.
* Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visits (home visits, hospital visits).
* Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans based on the needs and preferences of each resident.
* Delivers health promotion services, offers disease prevention counseling, and provides self-care education to residents.
* Engages with residents and family members in a compassionate and impactful manner, creating a lasting and positive experience.
* Fosters communication by regularly engaging with physicians, pertinent healthcare providers, and family members.

Qualifications:

* Maintains current state nursing licensure, RN preferred
* Minimum of two (2) years nursing supervisory experience
* Prior senior/supportive living experience strongly preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members
* Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
