PARKS ADMINISTRATION - DUTIES: Assists the Executive Director in overall administration of the Parks & Recreation Department and is part of the senior leadership team. Oversees specialized studies and develops comprehensive special and annual reports. Supervises daily administration and internal operations of the department. Supervises division administrators, facility managers and office personnel. Assists in preparation and administration of budget as well as the CIP. Assists in preparing and compliance of contracts, leases and permits with private and not-for-profit organizations. Assists in developing policies and procedures to control operations and in raising private funds to further department goals. Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess bachelor's degree in parks and recreation or related field and be qualified by extensive training or experience. Desire experience in progressively responsible work in a related field with at least 5 years experience in management capacity. Must possess demonstrated management skills including current and innovative management practices with team management orientation. Ability to provide effective supervision and leadership for Parks employees. Experience or knowledge of marketing practices and procedures. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to deal tactfully and responsibly with public and other city officials. Must possess a valid driver's license.
