Effectively conducting outreach to homeless and unstably housed LGBTQ+ adults and engaging these individuals into evaluation services.Conducting outreach outdoors on foot downtown, in desert areas, on the streets, in shelters and other areas that LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing homelessness congregate throughout the year.Developing trust and rapport with LGBTQ+ homeless adults.Effectively collaborating with the local homeless services providers, Terros teams and homeless services continuum of care.Keep accurate and timely case records, enter and retrieve client information on a database, use agency email, and locate information on internet and social media sites.Screen homeless and unstably housed LGBTQ+ adults for project eligibility.Collect baseline, discharge, and 6-month follow-up participant surveys at various locations throughout the community.Maintain locator files and tracking database for follow-up activities.Clean, organize and enter quantitative data into University and government data management systems.Conduct simple data analysis.Create charts, tables, and graphs for presentation of the data.Assist with writing reports writing and narrative summaries with regard to the data output.Assist with developing and presenting power point presentations.Being available during hours that are convenient to clients or required by program is necessary.Participate in local and national meetings and trainings, as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bilingual in English and Spanish.Strong verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Familiarity working with individuals who are homeless/unstably housed, have substance misuse or other health disparities (e.g., HIV/AIDS).Ability to work with diverse populations; specifically, the LGBTQ+ population.Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries in working with others and in handling confidential information.Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting and collaborate with partners.Ability to feel comfortable and safe providing outreach services outdoors to transient population in various locations, including shelters and clients' homes.Excellent computer skills, including communicating via social media.Since the position requires frequent driving to various job sites to provide services and occasionally transport clients, a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy is preferred.
