Responsibilities:
- Evaluate enterprise initiatives to ensure information handling conforms to legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Identify potential privacy risks and evaluate alternatives to mitigate them.
- Interpret regulations, develop privacy policies and procedures, and advise business units on implementation.
- Investigate privacy-related issues, perform assessments, and develop corrective action plans.
- Lead the development and delivery of privacy compliance training.
- Ensure privacy standards & policies are understood by the workforce, vendors, and third-parties.
- Develop metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for senior management.
- Interact with regulatory agencies for matters relating to privacy and security of Protected Health Information.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert to other members of the privacy team.
- Manage special projects and ad-hoc tasks from management.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of compliance experience in a healthcare environment or health insurance industry.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a privacy compliance role.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop mitigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to mentor junior staff.
