Certified Nursing Assistant Transitional Care Unit

The 20-bed Transitional Care Unit serves primarily short-stay recuperative and rehabilitation patients-a majority are geriatric and/or stable post-op orthopedic and oncology patients. The TCU is a family- and patient-focused environment where collaboration and communication are paramount, and you should be comfortable working with wound vacs, hoyer lifts, and standard IV therapy. You will partner with the patient and his or her family, along with a diverse roster of therapists and counselors to help the patient return home with as much independence as possible. The TCU features a wide array of recreational activities, 24-hour visitation for family and friends, and an onsite PT/OT gym. OAPSA clearance is required.
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides routine resident care and support services in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the nurse or physician to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be provided at all times.

**Shifts/Hours:**
Employees are expected to work rotating shifts. Casual employees can schedule 4-hour shifts. These shifts are self-scheduled _*Hours are subject to change based on business needs._
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. If entering position as part of CNA training program, employee has 120 days to obtain CNA. Students entering Nurse Aide Training classes who have residency in PA must have a Photo ID with a PA address
