Licensed Practical Nurse

Seymour, TN - Primary Care Clinic - Half day Friday

✮ Job Description ✮

We are looking for a dedicated LPN to assist our healthcare provider throughout the clinic. This role involves a variety of patient care duties, including lab draws, RX verification, appointment follow-up, and occasional scheduling. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient charts, coordinating appointments, and assisting with patient-related matters over the phone.

✮ Responsibilities ✮

* Primarily responsible for lab draws for all patients
* Serve patients over the phone with RX verification and appointment follow-up
* Occasional scheduling tasks
* Prepare and maintain patient charts including insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports
* Track and request patient records, slides, and films; document as necessary in the charts
* Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans, and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments of daily and weekly patient schedules
* Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians, and others with patient-related matters
* Relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician's discretion
* Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and 'no-shows'
* Perform BP, TPR, and weight measurements on each patient; alert physician of abnormalities
* Perform medical history on each patient prior to being seen by physician
* Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in clerical areas

✮ Skills & Qualifications ✮

* Tennessee LPN License
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent communication abilities
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Experience with patient scheduling and medical record maintenance

✮ Shift ✮

Monday - Thursday / 8:00am - 5:00pm

Friday / 8:00am - 12:00pm
