The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. Under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses, the LPN assists in the delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans in collaboration with Registered Nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
- Administer medications and interventions as directed by providers.
- Document patient encounters, responses, and effectiveness of care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including working and living areas.
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
