Our award-winning luxury country club in South Florida is seeking an experienced accounts payable associate primarily responsible for the review, posting and payment of all accounts payable invoices as well all as the review of monthly vendor statements and reconciles any discrepancies. Candidates must have excellent customer service presentation and communication skills. We also prefer candidates that possess at least 1 year of accounting / front desk /or concierge experience within a well-established country club or full-service hotel. This position requires excellent people skills and a solid accounting knowledge. The candidate must have strong detail-orientation and organizational skills. The successful candidate will possess a professional image representative of our Club and will have proficient knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL and WORD applications. Experience with Jonas Encore system software is preferred. EOE/DFWP

* Issues purchase orders and maintains purchase order log.
* Checks invoices for accuracy and for correct General Ledger coding, discount amount and due dates.
* Verifies invoices for approval and approval amounts. Advises the CFO of any discrepancies.
* Maintains I-9 information for each vendor and prepares 1099 and 1099B information.
* Maintains a file of current certificates of insurance for vendors and subcontractors and monitors expire dates quarterly.
* Prepares credit applications to establish new accounts.
* Prepares checks for appropriate accounts on a weekly basis.
* Maintains file of check copies, invoices, and/or other backup documentation.
* Maintains copies of fixed asset purchases in separate file.
* Reconcile vendor statements to Club's account payable information.
* All other duties as directed by management.
